Cairn O' Mount  is owned and operated by International Event Rider Susie Beale. Susie has ridden all her life, the daughter of British Event Team members Gillian Beale and Major Jeremy Beale. Susie was a member of the Angus Pony Club in Scotland, where she was born and raised, moving to the United States in 1985 to train extensively with her father and further her riding career. She is a Graduate of the Pen-Y-Bryn Equestrian Center, in Chester Springs Pennsylvania. Where she obtained her ‘I’ with highest honors.

In 1987 Susie returned to the United Kingdom to become a British Horse Society accredited Instructor. After obtaining her BHSPT she returned to the United States to start her own business.

Susie herself has competed successfully through the CCI*** level, and in 2005 had a CCI*** placing at Jersey Fresh.  She continues to ride both upper level horses and horses in training at all levels.

Her students compete extensively throughout the year, with successes from the Elementary Level through Intermediate. In 2005 Gillian King was the USEA Junior Training Rider of the Year.  In both 2005 and 2006 Lesley Collins was USEA Master Novice Rider of the Year on her horse Custom Jewel who was the USEA Novice Horse of the Year in 2005. In 2006, Caitlin Silliman finished 3rd in the NAYR CCI* Championships.  Susie works with those in the barn to reach their competition goals at all levels.

The Cairn O' Mount stables season starts in February when a number of horses and riders travel to Cairn O' Mount South in Aiken, South Carolina, to ride and train.  Summer competitions may include trips to Canada, Massachusetts or New York.

Susie teaches all ages and welcomes students at all levels.
